Nobody will know anything until there is an official announcement, until then it's only unfounded rumors. I doubt it would be any time soon if they are even working on one. The mCP is too new for a V2 in my opinion.

I believe, in the recent past, that a Horizon engineer had been quoted as saying that it couldn't be done and still be light enough to fly well. Obviously, the guys here have proven that it's possible. I highly doubt that, at this time, that Horizon would be able to pull it off on a mass scale and still be able to keep it at a reasonable price point. Hopefully, that assessment is not correct and we'll have one by Christmas, LOL! I can't imagine that the design engineers at Horizon are not at least looking into it.

Dont get me wrong, but I myself , and also my son, is ready to pay for such update. The value with this chopper is priceless. I have played with my sim but nothing even comes close to the real thing.... And as Im far from the upper middle class drivers I welcome the outcome from every single crash I make.... And I dont care that I can buy a decent big heli for the same money. The crashes would make me (in the long termes) out of this business....
I have crashed this silly little thing high up at my roof, inverted at concrete. in my stomach, in the fish pond, in the wheel barrow, high up in the tree, bitten by our dogs, raped a mayfly, cut the grass inverted, penetrated our living room and killed some of my wifes expensive flowers...etc etc ....
And Im still in the business....!!! (and still married) Priceless...!!!
The only drawback is that I killed some tail motors and servos that doesnt count into those crashes. But thats a part of the game I guess...

That's a realistic response that I completely agree with!

Well we all knew that was complete BS as soon as they said it.... More of an excuse to justify crappy components.

I think if they were going to make one the mCPx would already be BL.

Bert Kammerer had a video of him flying a brushless mcpx on his facebook page... and he mentioned something that hinted at a brushless version coming out.. or at least a conversion kit. That's what started the rumor.. for me anyway!

Eflite just needed to get the bird to market at a cheap price point to get it out the door and see how sales would be.. Now I think they would be foolish if they didn't come out with say a pro version that cost a bit more due to the brushless system but us experienced pilots would buy those up in a heart beat.

I would buy another mcpx at a higher price that has a brushless system and a better trail. As a trainer goes it would be worth it's weight in gold. Considering how much it cost to crash my 700,600 heck even the 450.

I dont think they will bring the V2 out for a while. I'm sure HH is selling tons of these little helis. They'll prob bring it out when the market is saturated with the MCPX.

Not when you look at the Walkera products.

Like one of us is going to have inside info about this---I don't think so...

If you look at the mSR, how long was it out before they introduced the mCPx, or even the new mSRx?

This little guy hasn't been out for more than 9 months. I doubt that HH is going to obsolete it until they think they have maximized its potential for HH profits.

I don't mean that in a negative way either. HH goal is to stay in business by releasing must have products. They certainly have hit a home run with the mCPx, they only question is whether they are rounding second or third base!

The thing is, the mCPX is selling like hotcakes as it is. HH is making a bundle right now without having to retool for a bl version....
