Dx9 problems?

Has anybody had problems with the dx9? I have put 4 in since I started using the dx9 with an ikon and 2 remote dsmx sats. Pretty much the same on all 4 crashes with 3 different helis. Cyclic and tail stop responding and throttle hold works? I called horizon and they said there wasn't a problem that they knew of and asked me what I wanted to do about it? Thanks for any input.

I don't have a lot of flights on mine yet, but I haven't had any problems yet (planes or heli's). I do use VBar as my FBL unit though.

I have an ikon on my 500 550 and 700 with a load of flights and no issues at all.

Are your settings with the ikon at dsmx 22ms or 11ms? Thanks for the reply

edit: oh wait, i read the end of that thread, people look happy with the update that was released a month or two ago. I'm sure the dx9 has the same update built in since it was released. False alarm I hope!

Flew my blade 450 with everything the same except using my dx8 and still had loss of response mid flight. I am beginning to think it is a rx issue. I will post when I figure it out.

Both 22ms and 11ms ,,,,,,,, I only have dsmx on my 700

Tons of flights on all my birds and nothing funny here.

Only issue I have seen is throttle trim didn't work in my first setup of my gasser, had to creat a new model and start over, but it works now and I'm happy.

Can someone tell me how to stop the trim noise on the back, mine when centered go crazy and wont shut up!

had the dx18 had many issues causing crashes, traded for 2 dx9s one is working so far but only 2 months, the other locked up,had to remove the battery then it seemed to work . then 4 days later the screen went blank,sent it in, asked for a replacement, they refused and sent it back fixed. used it for 10 minutes on the trainer and the screen went dead again. had to send it back again. sucks to have to have 2 radios to have a working one. never had a problem with the dx8s I had. just got tired of buying new antennas. futaba looking better all the time

i have a dx9 with blank screen problem (i am reading… and some users had this trouble using radio with simulators usb interface)

regarding crashes… at today i have nothing to tell with more than 10 heli models with various fbl and receiver systems (3gx,brain,beastx,tarot, ar7200, spektrum receivers, dsmx/2 sats, orange receiver,etc.)

i did some hundreds of flights.

Sounds like signal drop usually due to drop in voltage especially when using SATs only. Tons of threads on it if every thing checks out mechanically an external BEC usually corrects the issue.

Can you explain exactly how your DX18 "issues" caused many crashes? Ive had jointed antennas ever since the DX7(original) I used many years ago now.Never a broken antenna. I can admit they are somewhat fragile but breaking then repeatedly?
Im kind of guessing theres disparity in the definition of due care and diligence here.

Same thing to me just happend.I turn it on change the model to "sim",turn it of,place the jack on the back and the screen went dead.I am sending it tomorrow and the first thing when it cames back it will be to get rid of this peace of shit.

I have 3 BX'S and an Ikon that are setup on my DX9. The only problem I have had is on 1 of my 450X with BX I am getting about 10-12 frame losses.
Other then that it is a great radio.
