Default Maiden flight for my new 600 EFL Pro

I finally took my 600 EFL Pro 12s out for its maiden voyage today. Bought this from MTPockets, a fellow freak here. He built it (and did a very impressive job I might add), but sold it after he did a couple maiden hovers. It came equipped with stock motor/servos, the BeastX FBL controller, Spektrum AR8000 Rx, V2 tail rotor with upgraded hub and KBDD aluminum control links, 102mm KBDD tail blades, 700 rear skid , UK magnetic canopy mounting and finally, setup with Hyperion 1450 LiFE RX pack. I switched the rear tail fins to neon orange 700 fiberglass from Fusuno and ran through the full Castle and BeastX setup. Main blades were nearly perfectly balanced and matched CG and weight.

All I can say- WOW. This bird is so smmooooth... I'm an accomplished sport flyer, but not doing much 3D yet. I transitioned from my Blade 450X (a great machine all on its own). The sound of the 600 spooling up gave me goosebumps. Liftoff was perfect, did some slow flying to get the feel, then let it rip on the 2nd set of batteries. By the 3rd set of batts, I had a huge grin all over my face that could not possibly be removed.

The presence of this heli is undeniable- it has great stability and wonderful hang time. The BeastX worked flawlessly. The tail blades are a LOT louder than I was expecting- they have a really "mean" sound to them. The main blades...well lets just say they sound oh so sweet. What surprised me is that I have over 9 minutes of flight time running the lower governed headspeed of 2000RPM (great for lazy sport flying). I ran 2200 on much of the third flight, and still was getting 8 minutes (and barely reached 80% capacity used.) Batteries are 3300 NanoTech, two sets are 35-70C, and one set is 45-90C. Winds were running 15-25, but this T-Rexx couldn't care less.

Just had to post- this machine has really met all expectations. It's good to have two decent machines now- the 450X is great for throwing around the sky and trying new stuff- but this 600 EFL is a real sweetheart.

love mine as well have over 130 flights so far. Cant believe your flight times thought wow , i barely get 5 minutes at 95% flat curve flyng mostly 3d with poor collective management for the majority of the time. Any of you guys flown other 600 size helis cant imagine others flying a whole lot nicer.

Well... again, my flight times are due to virtually no heavy load on the motor- no 3d. I'm doing fast forward flight, BIG loops, rolls, flips, big stall turns, climbing piros, hard banked turns, etc, with some collective pumps thrown in. Did 3 more flights today- with IU2 at 2200 RPM I still am doing 8+ minutes with 80% of the pack.

Interesting tho.. these Nano Techs puffed just a wee bit today, and they weren't even warm. My Hyperion EOS and subsequent charge this evening validated I didn't even drain 75% of the packs. Maybe these 6S packs puff a bit easier? I know I fly my 450X like a madman, take 80% out every time, and not a hint of puff on the 3s Hyperion and Thunder Power (and even the e-Flight packs).

I know as I start pushing this heli harder, the flight times will drop. But having over 7 minutes right now is heaven!

Love my Align 600efl. Been flying nitro for so long, just switch over to electric and WOW, cant seem to get enough of it. All stock with 510kv motor and castle 80hv.
Voltz 3700mah 35c. Get about 5:30 of flight time with 90% throttle curve.
