Tarot and Copterx units are exactly the same, different firmware and the Tarot unit seems to have better support and setup software, see RCGroups under mini helicopters for a ton of info on both units.

I have the Tarot ZYX, works great. Setup is not that bad, get the PC cable and the software walks you through it. It's an afternoon project at worse.

You can use the software at http://fbl.net.nz/ for both. They are exactly the same to setup.

I'm a huge advocate for the AR7200BX. Not the cheapest, but certainly the very best out there.

This guy goes through the whole process with the tarot zxy.

If you want to do just the software start at part 4

I just ordered a Robird G31 for about $80 to my door. It's supposed to be pretty easy on the setup. Wish me luck.

There's an increasing amount of info on the new Robird G31 (aka ALZRC 3GY v 2). Many people think it's better than the ZYX/CX. It certainly has better electronics (single 3-axis Ivensense MEMS gyro, 32-bit MPU), better design (vibe-dampener inside the case), and better features (e.g. vibration analyzer, governor).
