Torn up crown gear? Anyone else?

Just got dne with flight 4 and now its making more noise than it did when I got it. Put the Mag glass to it and the crown gear that drives the tail is chewed up. Great! This is a little aggravating for a micro heli that was almost 300 bucks. Fun to fly but I hate being a gineua pig. Wonder how long before I can get a new gear? I'm in a love hate relationship with this heli right now! I bet i'm not alone!

Suppose that metal gear would kill the front servo? I suppose I could shim it out. Never really looked to see how it was mounted.

Me neither , but I knew that would be $ well spent, Shame Im already purchasing upgrades, I think this heli will eat parts, but I expected that anyway. tis an expensive hobby. Spent 20k in the last couple of years .

I ordered the metal one but i heard a lot of people on here saying the crown is to close or rubbing against the tail servo. I get mine thursday so hopefully won't be an issue, but it seems to be an issue for a lot of people.

Im wondering if mine was rubbing and that is what chewed it up. Almost like bottom of it got chewed away. it would still fly but for how long im not sure. A little disappointing to say the least.

T raptor have you installed that metal crown gear yet. Wanted to see how it was working. Also is it an upgrade part from HH?

How would the FET from the elevator servo damage the bottom of the crown gear, when it is against the side of the gear?

Something else must be wrong.
