Default Well it Turns Out I can Predict the Future, Thank You Very Much

When I first started the thread "E-flite Beats Align. New Micro CP" I had to add some additional words to the title because some people said I was "implying" that the mCP X could be compared to the Trex 100, so now it reads "E-flite Beats Align (in the race for a micro cp). New Micro CP (Blade mCP X)". Well, now I can now say "I told you so", because my first title was very accurate.

However, this Align 3G 100 will probably cost more than the mCP X, probably won't bind to anything other than an Align TX, and I don't exactly want carbon blades on my INDOOR flier.

Not gonna happen. I doubt Spektrum will sell DSM2/ DSMX to Align and I doubt Align will start making those compatible but not clones DSM2 RXs.

Very nice looking, I wonder if this is a mock up rushed out to pee on HH's bonfire just before the shipment of the mCP

Just in the same way that the mCP was announced just as the Trex 100 was shipped

I will say that if they give the operator the ability to adjust gain and such unlike the MCP then I'd be in line for one.

If you pre-ordered online and it is coming via UPS- March 6-8 to your door step
via USPS Priority- March 5-6
via FedEx- March 6-9

If you pre-ordered at your LHS- March 4- to whenever you feel like driving over there.

The tail motor not holding on punch outs will piss you off most.

I love Align products, I think theyre reliable, priced right and great. But I WOULD NOT buy this heli after they not only rushed out a mcx copy, but then forced out another bird to try to compete with HH...at least HH has done its research and will release a somewhat tested product, this trex 100 came out WAYYY to fast...I suspect it will perform like the 3G FBL platform...

Haha, alright, I'll buy that but if you were a real psychic then wouldn't you have gotten your title right the first time?

Could you imagine if it had a torque tube. Now that would have been something!

But not able to bind to my DX7 kinda kills it over the EFlite one.

Looks to be a electric motor for the tail from their facebook pics. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...d=194493419543

I agree with SYMAWD, the I don't know about CF blades for indoor 3D stuff, but who knows maybe someone can come up with some strong plastics.

Another thing that looks really wimpy is those skids, especially where it looks like there is a 90 bend just at the top. From the pics looks like a definite week point. And with the way they wrap around the pack, it might be hard to come up with a alternative, either by us or aftermarket, but I would guess something could be done.

But on the plus that whole fly bar area looks really really strong, as well the main shaft looks pretty thick as does the tail boom. My guess would be that if all that was added with some after market metal that if that didn't add to much weight, it might just about be indestructible.

That pack looks pretty beefy too.

Well, will have to keep an eye on this.

I predict that my PZ BNF UM Mosquito will be broke before my 2 mCP-X's arrive. I predict the bear that keeps pulling my birdfeeder down in the backyard is black (no, that's not racist, that's bioligist'), I predict that Moja stating that if you are such a good predicter you would have gotten the first title right, is right..... :-)

QUESTION: Why does HH sell align products on their site? I feel they (HH) have some share in Align. Hopefully its enough to get some Spectrum rec/tx action.

It was right. I just changed it to please the people who said I was comparing the Trex 100 to the mCP X.

Yeah but if you were psychic then you would have seen those complaints coming ahead of time. I predicted it would have a tail motor over a year ago.

HELL YES!

oh, and I don't mind carbon blades on an indoor flier, I have done it many many times. The low mass of the rotors means it makes no diffrence.

As for what it will bind too, well we have to look at the electronics, if the reciever is seperate you could just swap the reciever.

sooo happy...!

HH is a USA Align distributor (one of them).

Looks pretty stout, and hell yeah for carbon blades, the only other alternative to me is styrofoam due to it's light weight, plastics just as hard and damaging, especially if the mCP blades are as tough as they say. What's the difference between breaking your stuff with plastic over carbon?
