You need Thunder Power part # TP6P4E. Costs about $5

It is a 6 pin to 4 pin adapter.

I emailed the thunder power folks and asked the same question. They responded with the attached drawing:

That drawing is pretty much the same as the one in the 210 balancer instructions.... it's worth a look

so the 610c can charge and balance two batteries at once as long as it doesnt surpass 6 cells? that is awesome news to me. this will work on flightpower 2170s as well correct? will the charge time get longer or if you charge at one c will it stay the same. does one c actually mean double the amperage since you are now charging 4400mah instead of 2200...meaning you would want to charge at 4.4amps to get one c?

By charging two packs in series, the voltage is increased, the capacity remains the same. The charge rate remains the same. TP recommends only series charging with 2 packs that are purchased together, always discharged together and charged together. Ex: using 2 x 3S 2500 mah packs on a TRex 500. Charging would still be done at 1C: 2.5Amps.

Balancing will most likely take a little longer than if each pack was charged individually.

... I haven't actually tried this yet.

got it. so in theory i really wouldnt want to start charging two packs at once when i get a few more only because they are just packs used as one to fly one heli. in the case of the 500 if i bought a pair i could charge them at once since they are flown at once. just as long as you are to keep those two packs as a pair.
