Man , I don't know what's going on but here is a tail hub set I ordered for a back up, in case I jacked my tail up during setup, and it has brass washers not the counter sunk washer they show

I am not sure. The hub that I have has the counter sunk washers. I ordered mine a while ago, so maybe Gaui changed the washers. Gaui seems to like updating parts without changing part numbers or documentation

I'll try to answer. Seems for the 200 I'd go the "stepped" hub and 200 grips. Nothing wrong with the 200 grips and they will fit the root of 200 specific blades properly. On another note I have quite alot of play in my v2 slider. Anyone seperated these and remedied the issue? I notice in hover the tail will wander an inch or two as this play is taken up and then released. Doesn't really effect whole flight but if I have to order a new slider the Bobby Watts tail may fall in the basket instead! Fusion, those yellow blades...are they KBDD? ....for the 255 though yeah? I'm considering either KBDD 42mm for my 200 (do they make white) or Align 42's http://www.helipal.com/h25065-42-tai...p5e1cq9k86eu44 Anyone know if the Aligns are the same thickness (airfoil) as the Gaui black 42's or if the KBDD's would be more suitable? I've noticed a bit of play in my V2 tail as well when I was trying to eliminate tail wag. In mine most of the play seems to come from where the upper tail pitch lever goes through the two holes in the main gear case bracket;
I was going to machine up a bush with a close fit to the lever axle and then bond it between the two holes to try and remove some of the slop. Just noticed there is also some slop between the small pin in the upper pitch lever and the groove in the slider - so slightly bigger pin needed as well. The groove measures up as 1.24mm wide and the pin is labelled as 1.2 so could do with being 1.22mm. |

Kbdd 1.2 @ fattest part of airfoil and 1.4 @ root Stock black 1.2 @ fattest part of airfoil and 1.3 @ root IMO the Kbdd's have a faster crisper stop from blur piros, the only problem is they need working back and forward in the grips a bit to make them spin freely. The only white ones i've seen are there night blades. @ Simon, I've just checked my tail [ brand new ] and have the exact same slop, it eqautes to about 1mm of slider back and forward movement It doesn't seem to affect things though, so maybe thats how they are. How you getting on now? Having fun??

Amp,
im not sure if they are for the 255, it seems as I got a 255 heli with the 200 version grips, so I believe they are for the 200, and yes thehy are kbdd. I have not had a chance to try them, but as soon as I do I will let you know. I have the correct grips for the 255 in my parts stash, I guess I will try them on my 200 tail now that I think about it. The v2 tail is a bit quirky, but with the double joints slider and cnc links, I had good results with it, I actually have my old v2 double slider assembly if your intrested. Also you can try speedding up the tail by using a diffrent tooth count shaft, they come in 16t 17t ect |

The larger the tail tooth count the slower the tail RPM. with my 5150, here are the rpms through the whole bird as found using one of the free Android heli setup apps
this is at 85% efficiency / 95% throttle and is close to what I am pulling on a Gaui 200 build I'm doing for another HF user. 5150 = 38934 RPM (15t) main shaft = 4596 (120t/64t) tail shaft@15t = 19611 rpm tail shaft@16t = 18385 rpm tail shaft@17t = 17304 rpm as a side note, with numbers like this on the tail you can see how the slightest amount of vibes in the tail can wreak havoc on an otherwise well setup bird. you should see how many of the old white geared tail shafts I have stuck to a big magnet on my desk here at work, most of them have just a teeny tiny bit of runout on them but were causing me fits with the old gu365 when I ran it, so now they are part of a sculpture of main and tail shafts, lol

Yup, I wasn't sure which way would make it faster,
But thee diffrent tooth count is a good way to resolve some issues |

Look guys, I have been reading this thread since it started, and it is a good discussion. I know that it can be easy to have friction when there is a difference of opinion, or if one person doesnt see what another persion is trying to convey right away.
That being said, these gaui forums RARELY end up having threads closed by the mods, yet there was that other thread that just got closed for these same reasons, same back and forth friction from the same users. you guys need to just shelve it, and get back to constructive dialog. feel free to PM each other and go to town if you want to, but lets keep this thread on track. I pride myself in helping with these forums and seeing everyone get along, lets not get off track now. -Rob

That makes 3 of us.... it's been more windy than a convalescent home after puree bean night here in Manitoba, and a freak snowstorm to boot. The snow melted, but it was still windy...
