This is true with ANY heli and coming out of hold in idle up! I always go into normal after I hit hold... So doesnt matter and this fact has nothing to do with a gov or limiter.

Warp speed that is a remote glow driver and is not related at all to the 7100R. The picture makes it look like it is but it is simply tie wrapped to the rev limiter wires.

I no longer have a DX7 so cant do a vid on it... Sorry ShinOBIWAN but it WONT be hard to figure out. Use GEAR channel and see my custom mix video for getting it tied to the condition switch. That is in my Trex600N videos with the Curtis ATG. Gyro will have to be on AUX2 and you will have to use travel adjust.

I think that's what most people, including myself, will be using with this new receiver. I'm a bit of technical Luddite and would really appreciate any input you have.

I am surprised more people do not use the rev max. It truly is simple and very effective. I set mine up on aux 2 and use the ATV to adjust.

Will the AR7100R work on a gasser??? If the sensor can be set up to detect the crank that is...

My understanding but please I have not confirmed this yet..... is that a Model Avionics magnet sensor will also work with the AR7100... I am going to get a REAL answer to this at some point but this is what I have heard so if you cant use the crank sensor it appears you might be able to use a Revmax/TJPro sensor....

Yes, I will wait for the official on that. If the Model Avionics sensor could function as the GV-1 sensor does when pointed at the flywheel on a gas engine, that would work for me, as I'm not a fan of drilling and glueing magnets to the fan hub.

On that note, I'm also wondering if the stator gator would provide the proper signal. Food for thought.

Finless did a great Job on this AR7100R review.

I did read all of the four posts. My total understanding is limited. And I'll stick with Electric. But for those going up to Nitro, Bob did a great and detailed build video that should save hours for those guys who try to install a AR7100R with a JR X9303.

My Multigov sensor in my 600 is lighting the sensor light in my AR7100R when I rotate the fan. I am not sure if that means it will work since I haven't tried it, but on the bench it looks like the 7100 is reading the Mutligov sensor.

The sensor that came with the 7100R doesn't fit too good on the Redline in my 600N. I'll need to get some spacers/washers to go between the sensor mount and the motor or it won't fit. For tomorrow, I am going to try to use the built in limiter with my multigov sensor that is already mounted. Ill bring my Multigov too in case I can't get the limiter to work so I can try to bypass it. I don't know if I'll be able to use the bottom plate sensor at all unless I pick up some washers.

I am running a Multigov in my Stratus with a 7100 but it doesn't have the built in Rev limiter and it is just using a standard Multigov sensor. I'll be trying that setup tomorrow too.

Based on this quick test, it looks like the Multigov will work with the backplate sensor

Yup Mine worked to, on the Multigov Pro as well.....everything is kosher!

That also means it will work on a Revmax, TJ, and ATG as well .

Do I see a run on Spektrum backplate sensors on the horizon? I'm assuming they'll be selling replacement sensors. It's sure a lot more protected from damage than the fan sensors.

Using the backplate sensor, as I spin the crankshaft by hand slowly, the sensor light on the receiver flashes twice as the rod goes by. I assume its sensing one side of the standoff on the crank for the rod, then the hollow in the middle of the standoff and then the other side. Is this what others are seeing? I would guess that when the engine is running at speed it goes by quickly enough it only registers once each revolution?
