Yes..RC Booya has pads to install on the insdie of the canopy for this...another fix is to take the skids stops that are provide with kit, and put them over your canopy standoff, leaving them sticking out just a little...

My front canopy standoffs came with rounded inserts installed in them. They are skid pipe ends I believe.

whats that?

still have the stock, just tested and there is a 1mm gap between the stand and the canopy.

FL are going to send it back for me and hopefully replace it.

The rubber skid grommets, just slide 1 over the stand off, leaving a bit over hanging

I use mine as they are stock with no wear on canopy.
Do you maybe have a high freq vibe causing the damage?
Does your tail fin vibe?

ok , get yourself some fibercloth and some epoxy and beef up the inside spot a little to fix it... then stickers on the outside to keep the paint from fracturing , then , do the mod to the standoffs.
mine , i jsut have the skid ends in not wearing at all , but stock cano...(same one, as fusano makes the cano's).
something else i did was the bottom mount(plastic insert thing) , i wrapped a piece of velcro strap wedged between the carbon mount , and plastic skid , then have a velcro sticky back on the canopy , really locks the canopy onto the heli securly.

Hi, not in the game of fixing things that should be right from the manufacture.
if they make the canopy then they made a very bad copy on this one its a completely different shape from the stock one.
I will how ever do the stand off mod you suggested

lets see what Fast-Lads say when I take it back on Friday ???
James.

I've been running my green Fusuno Future since last September, and have easily over 100 flights on it. Others who've recently seen it can attest it's like new.

My setup? Simple. See Mr. BBRFST's solution. I followed his lead.

For additional protection, simply apply some Shoe Goo, or Goop adhesive to the inside of the canopy where the standoff touches. This will reinforce the fiberglass and cushion the action of abrasion from rubbing between the two.

Best wishes,

I'm running the same green fusuno canopy with just the skid pipe ends in and have no wear issues like that at all. I'm not even using anything extra on the pipe ends. I'm wondering if the bracket in your canopy is not mounted far enough in to keep it from moving once the standoffs are secured.

You mean the connector at the bottom? the holes were pre drilled.... I do feel the connector could be further in so the canopy sits further back. I have had a replacement and this one has done the same. I glued some hard plastic in the inside of the canopy to stop it from ruining another canopy...

Bit of Zap goo on the contact points inside the canopy makes a nice rubberized pad.
