Default Anybody flying Atom 5.5 with vbar?

I was wondering if you would be kind enough to post some of your baseline vibration logs so I have something to compare to.

I finally got my vstabi software to work on my Mac Book Pro again and want to check my vibes as soon as I replace this tail hub. I've never checked them on this machine before so it'll be nice to have a baseline value to compare it to.

Thank you! Wasn't sure if sensi had his atom still or not. If nobody has any, next time the unfortunate happens I'll make logs for each component I add from frame up.

My suggestion is to just fly it.
If you're not having any funny twitching in flight then I wouldn't even worry about the vibe numbers.
Its really more of a tool to use to try and track down issues. If there are no issues then there's no need to even look at it.

Awesome, one more thing I can mark off my heli to do list.

It sure as hell is! Tony knows that heli better than anybody out there I would say.

Hey, I picked up some Cyclone 505s today (thank god) and I was wondering what the procedure for the bolt holes is? Do you drill out the grips to 4mm? Might as well as instead of making a new thread. This forum is pretty dead.

I use brass tubing from crashed blades. I wouldn't drill the grips, it could throw off the balance.

they 505's don't come with the brass inserted? I was under the impression it did and the grips had 3mm, where as the brass and hole in the blade root is 4.

It looks dated but it is reliable and flies extremely well.

I still like the way it looks. I haven't flown mine with a canopy in about a year :/ all my canopies died. I like how it looks barebones... kinda.
For simplicity and efficiency sake. The servo layout and tail though man, have just tired me out more and more with what the 550u, 6HVU, 7HV, and Cronos have. Its just better... its not that it doesn't work, it works, and works great, its reliable, simple, and proven, but it could be better. Those five last words get to me when I look at it. I really am a perfectionist though. I've redone my wiring probably 5 times and never been happy with it. Im always trying to tinker with something. I just want it to be bulletproof for 500+ flights straight. Seems impossible to me

Thank you very kindly sir. I'm a bit anal about the wiring on my machines. The 7HV is layed out just as clean. Hell, my Trex 500s were layed out just as clean. Lol
As for the holes just drill them out. Very carefully drill them out.
