Wow big case, any pics of heli in it?

The tail boom on the tdr is designed to disconnect quickly for transport, you could have used a much smaller box.

I know jan designed it to come apart easy for traveling... But it flies so well now, I don't want to mess with it.. Just ordered the case... Waiting for it to arrive... Will take pics when it arrives.

Cost was just over 500... Def could have gone a cheaper route. But I can't take the money with me when I go..

You should also look at Seahorse cases they are very similar in construction to Pelican cases at a very significant price discount.

Yes $500 at Amazon in the US, it is the shipping to SA that kills it!

Currently $468.20 free shipping in the US.

Looks pretty nice. It should hold a a TDR or TDR-2 very well.

That Pelican case looks very sturdy but it's quite heavy.

Earlier this year I went to Spain and I used a Longridge golf club case. The case only weighs about 6.5kg so I was able to carry a Kasama Dune and spares, a Trex 500, tools and charger and misc stuff, clothes etc. and the total weight was (if memory serves) 23kg. I just had to pay a little extra and it went as a regular checked bag on Easyjet.

Agree it is on the heavy side.. This was the only case I could find that the tdr fit in one piece..

Yeah with the Longridge case and the other golf cases I have seen, it will almost fit with the canopy off but ideally the boom just needs to come off.
