but it also depends on your (desired) flying-style:
-3D: light and starting from 30 C
- sportsflying (as I do): you can use up to 2x 3S Turnigy 4000, because weight doesn´t matter that much.
I use lipos from 2x 3S 3600 up to 2x 3S 4000 with a Fusuno canopy.
My FBL-Heli with BeastX uses ~250 mA per minute.

If you take a close look at the measuring these batteries will fit unter the orig. 550 canopy too, but using an aftermarket canopy (Fusuno) or from another brand (T-Rex-600 or 550) will give you more space to mount the lipo and to adjust the CG properly.

You might want to try the 2650 nanotech series. They have higher power density and are lighter than turnigy.

I own 2650 35C nanotech and 3000 30C turnigy, and like the nanotech better.

The nanotechs can also charge at higher rate (8C). I charge all my packs at 1C though.

+1 for Nano-tech. You might not notice a difference in performance but for me they lasted much longer. Over 200 cycles vs around 150 for the normal turnigy.
