Default Energy used by blades / Blades for Gasser.

I got told that some blades use more energy than others, for instance, when doing a elevator flip.

Sure the blade dimensions, shape, mass etc, along with many scientific and engineering factors could be bought up,

but

from a practical / hobby point of view, has anyone noticed if there is a difference between the various blades and energy used when doing things like flips, for the same blade length? , i.e. does the engine bog a bit less etc.

And if so, which blades?

The reason why I ask is, I am flying a gasser (GT15Hz) with 690 mm blades, and this engine does not afford much power.

However I am guessing the end results might be negligible.

Rail blades increased my flying times on the Nitro by almost 1 minute. That says something!

Their was a fellow here, or on RR, a year or so ago, who used telemetry to measure the energy consumed by a number of top brands of 700 sized blades on his electric heli. He found that the RT blades consumed from 9% to 15% less power then the others he tested.
