Default Need some help on setting Govenor on sk540

I bought a second hand trex 600 efl. I put a sk 540 on it. I'm still setting it up. I never used a gov before. I bought a hobbywing rpm sensor but never wired one up. And tips or advice would be appreciated.

Just follow the wizard, it's quite self explanatory .

If my memory serves me correctly the hobbywing sensor works a treat, however you have to reverse the polarity of the red & black wires to get it to work.

You will also need to find out the number of motor poles to put into the software.

The wizard will ask you to set your throttle curves for each idle up setting (these should be horizontal lines) and then input the drive ratio.

You then put in your desired headspeed for each Idle up switch position.

Nope the sensor leads have no polarity on the HW sensor, Eagle Tree is that one, which I still have in one of my parts drawers. Do they even make that one anymore? Just wire the HW in to the IOC and do the math the wiz needs so the Skookum can accurately count the mag passes. Do keep it close to the 80% rule on both sides as possible. Follow this and the default ramps already there should handle it just fine. Go outside this rule, and the gov doesn't want to hand off in some cases. The only thing now I am careful of in routing the wires is to keep the HW sensor wires away from running parallel with the throttle lead down the length of the heli (long story behind that, maybe not needed anymore?) and or getting too close to the 3 motor leads.

I have this bookmarked from when I was setting up my gov. I hope it's not out of date:

Thanks I think I figured it out. My rpm sensor is running along the motor wires and zipp tied together. Will this be a problem.
