Same same... it runs even better when you use fixed wing setup and rely on gyro gov like the brain!!

When u use brain gov it puts back all the features from v4 like gov gain and a whole lot more

Falung_69,

"Bout time u put those orange blades on

I liked the RT's. They were actually a bit too quick for my taste, but they worked well. I have them on my Stretched Atom as the blade grips are to narrow for the KBDD's on that machine.

The machine can be set up to be insanely fast.

I had a set of KBDD EE's on it for the first flight, but cracked it up due to overflying the battery, so I flew the R.T.'s for about a month until the latest batch of KBDD's came in.

The KBDD's are smoother, but still very quick, IMHO (and I like to fly smoothly).

"Looks sweet dude"

Thank you, sir!

This exo has a dfc head right? no issues so far?
i heared a lot of people complaining about the trex dfc heads but i never had any issues with it.
i replace the dampeneres every 60 flights or so.
Regards.

Dennis,

While the eXo does have a rigid, driverless head, that is where the comparison ends.

There are no Delrin/POM dampers/inserts to wear out on the eXo head.

The spindle is machined into the hub, so there is no chance of accidental flapping to occur due to wear of the dampers/inserts (which could cause issues with the head linkage/ball links in flight).

It's been a month but I managed 4 quick flights on the 500e today. I've missed it! I picked up a WR Hercules super BEC from Egeraldo911 so I can get the ease of plug and play back instead of the 2S lipo but still need to wire it up. I don't mind the 2S on my larger machine cause i'm at the AMA flight field and such. But for the 500 i'd rather have plug and GO for a quick park flight instead of worrying about a rx pack

Heli's flying great, could use a little tweaking on the Aileron gains but otherwise

Installed the WR BEC last night and got everything wired up.

I added a deans to the end of the WR BEC and wired it up so that I can easily remove it from the model if I want to try it on another Heli. Also, this way I can power up just the FBL via a 2S lipo on the bench for testing and adjustments without powering the ESC.

I'll post some pics tonight, it was a clean install looking forward to a test flight, or 5

4 flights today on my 500. BEC worked flawlessly. I practiced a bit on the low head-speed side, just trying to keep maneuvers flowing constantly. Kept it mainly at 2550 rpms today and it did everything I wanted, graceful slow moves, tail had no issues.

Of course for giggles, I did a few 2900 rpm speed passes. Thing tracks like a missile.

After a couple of flights in to the flight field, return in home and discharge my packs for storage.

My new heli that I just built. I only have two test hovers on it. I get to shake it up this weekend.

Just put 3 much quicker new Align ds530m servos, but the bec of YGE120 drops down rapidly and shuts off fbl in 7.4v setup....
After parallel a BIG cap now everything works so fine and hope I'll keep it this way for another 5 years.

I flew my eXo 500 today.

This is the first time that I have flown since late March.

I was in Europe for just under two weeks and have been really ill since.

It was great to be able to go flying again!

I did get out and manage 2 flights on my Classic 500E along with other models at the AMA field. It still purrs at 2800 rpms. Made some tweaks to the FBL settings on the SKookum 540. It seemed really aggressive and i just dialed it back a bit. it's still a fast little bugger. good day all in all.

I'm sitting in the garage looking a Lepton and Nx4.

It's raining really hard

Also my motorcycle they're sitting on is worthless today too.

Very lucky tonight with my 500. Took it out for two batteries. At the end of the first pack, motor made a strange noise and ESC shutdown. (Keep in mind I was having ESC issues months ago, switched ESC's and all has been fine....) Well, upon landing after Auto rotation the motor appeared to be locked up when spun by hand (intermittently locking up)

I am so glad I didnt decide to try the second battery.
