How much more money will it take to get this Raptor 30 in the air?
I found a guy selling a Raptor 30 for £200. The description : Rc raptor thundertiger 30 helicopter fully working needs tuning and trimming !! Comes with a fast charger for helicopter rc remote and battery charger for remote glow starter plug and charger fuel pump and a bottle of fuel and training balls for beginners !!
I'd love to try a nitro heli out. I have always wanted to share in that smell you all love and to hear that engine will be a pleasure. I am still an intermediate with my 360cfx, learning basic inverted orientations and such, but I feel like this will be a fun project if it doesn't get too expensive. I want to try to get this bound and setup to my DX7 so I'd need a satellite, but I don't know what else I would need to invest. Also I don't have any knowledge when it comes to cold complicated FB helis, let alone nitros. Edit: Anyway to tell if it is a V1 or V2? (incase he doesn't know which one it is)

the setup on a raptor is pretty simple. Sounds like you would atleast need the actual starter to turn the motor over. That was my first real heli.

The huge learning curve of nitros is really intimidating me. I havent even built a heli, nor repaired a CP heli more than once.
Edit: Not to mention all these accessories I need like you guys mentioned

Yes you will need a satellite with the DX7. Just take baby steps. Orientation does not change but rather the controls and servo movement does. To me it is like a new car. Feel it out and go from there. Raptor Tech link is a great place to go. Need to scan the info and follow it. I did and help out a lot. I know it is a old website but it is extremely useful to this day.
