Yes, they should work but I'd buy these for cyclic instead despite being more expensive:

They work great on the cyclic, cheap, but perform well and are very durable. I'd go for a MKS DS95i on the tail though. I've tried kst 215 but it didn't cut it for me. Pretty sure the RJX is the same servo, there are quite a few of those on the market under various brand names (KST, KDS, TGY, RJX). For whatever reason though, the RJX are significantly more expensive than the others.

I also found the 215 to be lackluster on the tail. The 95i is my go-to solution now |

I've got my Mini Protos flying with kst 215's all around but I may go for a faster mks ds93i for the tail.

If going with KST's I would run an external BEC, like the Castle 10A. KST's are known to be power hungry.

I'm running 4 KST servos off of the YEP 40a bec with no problems.
I may get a Castle bec for no other reason than to up the voltage to increase speed / torque. But first my P500 will get that treatment.

Also 80 flights at 3300 headspeed on my heavier X3 with the same setup with no sissues so I wouldn't be worried. Oh and the castle "10A" BEC is actually rated 10A peak, 7A cont. on 3S, and 5A cont. on 6S, so it's not as good as it looks initially.

Or ditch all the heavy stuff and go with the Futaba S3156 cyclic servos. You don't need an external BEC with them, and they're plenty fast. Unless you're Tareq, or Duncan Bossion or something, you won't outfly these servos.
I took MKS DS92A+ cyclics and the external BEC off my stretch 6s Mini P, and put the futabas on there using the internal YGE BEC and the heli lost 4 ounces. That's a lot for a heli this small. It feels every bit as precise, and even quicker and more responsive now, likely due to the significantly lower weight. And I ham fist this thing all around, it's got no lack of cyclic authority whatsoever. The MkS's are nice, and they look good on paper, but would probly be better suited for a heli that could make use of heavier duty servos. A goblin 380 or a stretched Warp 360 or something. The Mini P is not that heli. It's a very light, nimble and responsive heli if you allow it to be, and not load it up with superfluous stuff. Unless you like a heavy heli... Some people do. I don't get it, but if that's your thing, I won't heckle ya ;-) |
