That was my word exactly, WOW! Its hard to say without seeing or hearing it in person, but from what you describe I can only guess a few thing.

1) your experiencing the "Tail buzz", that others have encountered. Most claim the tail blades are the culprit. a friend of mine had the same issue and thought it was the carbon boom. he switched to the aluminum boom and got the same results. When i check over the bird he had tightened the tail pitch fork arms so tight it was causing binding, we loosened re applied loctite and re installed and its been perfect ever since. so check both.

2) If it is a high almost bird tweeting sound or "chirping" the GOV gain is to high in the ESC settings. I am running around 12 on my DOM 700L. if it was a Tail gain issue you would have had a very over reactive tail, it would have oscillated very fast. Im sure you know that, but sometimes it can be so fast it mimics a vibration issue.

Can you see any physical vibration, example skids or horizontal stab fin?

hope this helps, best of luck and congrats on the maiden!!

I could see vibration in the vertical stab. What really seemed odd was one tail blade was really loose after the flight it would not hold itself in the blade holder. It wasn't loose preflight. Maybe the vibration did it...I will check all the rest and report back this evening. Thanks for the info

Do yourself a favor and order Rail 106mm tail blades. It 99.99999% of the time fixes the issue. I just finished my top and the same thing happened to me. Loud buzzing noise. I switched to a set of rails and the sound vanished. Smooth sailing after that. Amazing bird

Ok pulled the tail apart and regreased the thrust bearings and polished the tail shaft with 12000 grit micro mesh put it all back together. Noticed that the hub had left some marks on the tail shaft I guess from the vibration. I ordered rail tail blades but figured I'd give it a quick test. The vibration was all but gone but would slightly do it at the 2150 rpm. New blades will be here Monday so we shall see what happens.

The only place that I have found them separately is on EBAY. There is a seller named SFIHELI that auctions off parts from all of the dominator kits. I won those red arms and the red swash for my 700. There is a set ending Monday night.

I think Align got a bad batch of tail blades... I had the same problem. The blades would hum and actually get out of track by about 3/4" at 2100 rpm head speed. The Rail 106's work well. Also the Cyclone 105's work very well.

How are the Cyclone Tail blades? do you think they will also resolve this issue?

Idk but what I do know is no other tail blade works other than the rails. I wouldn't risk it. Besides the rail blades are really nice

I don't know about wrong. The simple fact is rails always fix the problem. I couldn't recommend another blade cause I haven't personally seen any others solve the problem. There are always exceptions though. But for me it's rail 106

I just meant that the light weight is why the problem goes away. Rotor tech are crazy light...

Must resist the temptation to buy another 700. These dominator top 700's are awsome
