Check your gear mesh and belt tension. If you have either or both excessively tight it will drop flight times significantly. Also, if you have the pitches cranked through the roof, it can cause binding in flight and drag down your battery that much more. Even if you have small stuff like that going on it all adds up eventually.

What batteries are you using? How many cycles? What level do you charge to and how much do you take out? By 4.5mins max, do you mean you're hitting 22.2V on the pack and/or 80% discharge (3300 X .80 = 2600)? What pitch values do you have dialed in? How good are your solder joints?

The other thing is that you have to change some of the settings from default in order to work with helicopters. Are you saying you haven't touched anything, or just stayed at default timing settings specifically?

Hi Tim,

Yap Esc at default settings. Solders good. Lipos 50 cycles & well taken care off.
Pitch + - 12%. Gear train smooth. Discharge around 76-80%
