Default v450d03 servo upgrade

Hi I'm new to rc helicopters. I have a walkera v450d03 and I purchased savox sh0257mg cyclic servos. Does any one know if these are compatible because when they're connected the receiver doesn't bind with the tx and the esc gets very hot. If I disconnect the servos it will bind and the esc doesn't over heat. The original servos work fine when plugged in.

Can you verify if you have the RX 2703 or RX 2703h-d. Those receivers are fairly standard and the only thing I can think that would cause an issue like you are having is plugging the servo in backwards.

The receiver is rx2703h-d. The servo only works when plugged in a certain position. If I have the servos disconnected and let it bind then plug the servos in they all work ok. The esc doesn't get hot. It will bind with one servo connected but not when all are connected.

??? That's odd. Try using one servo, one at a time and see if it's a specific servo causing the issue.

I'd say stop messing with it.
Stick the original servos back in before you burn something up!
Sounds like for some reason the servos are not compatible.

Iwas using the original servos but they stop working after a crash and the crash was only mild. I thought I would try different servos which may last longer. This is my third set of servos.
I tried all the servos one at a time and they all do the same thing. Would the servos be pulling too much current and causing the esc to over heat.

I looked up the new sh0257mg servos. They are micro high speed digital servos.
And should not draw excessive current. Nice stuff from what I read. I don't know what the problem is. But the RX is $100.. you don't want to be cooking it.

Wish I had the answer for you.

Thanks for the help. I emailed savox to see what they say, and waiting for reply.

Could this be down to the servo frame rate?
I would be very careful as you don't was gent to blow up the rx.

I got an email from savox and they were saying about the resolution may not be set correctly. How do I adjust the resolution and what would the settings be.

That RX is a combined RX and FBL and is made to be simple. It doesn't have adjustable servo frequencies that I know of. I know, bad news. I would check the Walkera forums or some other forums that have lots of walkera flyers and see if they know of a servo that has been proven to work with that particular RX. I know MG90's and KDS N290's won't work. It also doesn't have servo reversing on any of the channels so what ever servo you replace it with you also have to make sure it rotates the same direction as stock. There are also fit issues with that airframe. Many larger 9g servos won't fit or are to tall etc.

A huge upgrade might be to buy either a Robird G31 or a Tarot ZYXS (or any other FBL controller really) and a RX701 (or depending on your TX flash with deviation and use a Spektrum compatible reciever) and convert to a fully configurable FBL system. Then you will be able to use almost any servo. But the chain of events may continue and you may need to buy an ESC to provide more power for the servos and FBL. I would reccomend a YEP 40 and a Spektrum capacitor. Another $30.

I know it's a lot but the Walkera system is designed as a system and not as an optionable or upgradeable setup. They keep it simple and cheap for new comers. The good news is that all of the above components could later be swapped into another airframe as you advance.

Hi guys
You could try the EMAX 09 mg or the Caroma servos
I did read that they work but one was a tight fit for the frame, both are metal gears
Both are fairly cheap
If you need it I think the TX has a reversing capability
