Default It Happened

well i put my 30% extra 260 in.

i didnt do my usual warm up before the flight and went straight to a hover at about 20' then the engine died.

it gave me a reason to buy the 3dhobbyshops 87in extra.http://www.3dhobbyshop.com/detail.aspx?ID=2280 i will probably repair the sd models extra260 this winter to have a back up airframe.

Do you mind me asking the nooby question, how do you repair a plank?

I want to fly planks, but I'm scared about repair...

Peel the skin back, sand, glue, sand some more, glue some more, add a gusset hear and there. OOhhh glue and sand some more. Then recover!!!!

Takes a little longer to nurse a plane back to heath than it does helis. But planks are a lot of fun too. If your worried about repair...... just as you would a heli get help from more experienced modelers... If you go to a local club, finding help shouldn't be a problem.

yep and it seems all of my planks that i repair always gain weight. i tend to over repair if that is possible and probably use too much glue.

one good thing about planks is most are much cheaper than helis. i have twice as much invested in my logo than i did in the extra.
