Default Balance tab snapped off, is this battery toast?

Hey everyone,
I was plugging in a 4S pack to charge and heard a little click as it went in. I thought that was just the plug snapping into place. This is their second charge, so I figured the connectors may be a tight fit still. A second later I saw a little smoke and heard a small sizzle. I immediately unplugged the pack and saw that one of the pins from the balance board had snapped off in the balance plug, and another balance lead looked a little scorched and the tab looks pushed in.

Questions: Is this pack toast? Can I cut the balance leads, solder on new wires --> balance plug and be good to go?

Give it a go, it's probably okay! solder it up and then see does it take and hold the charge. If your charger supports it, check the internal resistance.

Thanks! Wasn't sure if smoke + sizzle = shorted out = dead battery or if it's not done til it's done. I got it unplugged pretty quickly, but it got a little warm. No more than a hard flight would have, though.

I'll check it out, but I have to order a new balance plug for it first :-\ Sucks that most hobby shops are closed on Saturdays so they can be out flying

I have the other battery that was on the para-board plugged into the charger now and it's reading:

4.13 4.15 4.18 4.20

Hopefully it balances out a bit better... ugh
