Default 9451 or 9351 for cyclic?

Putting together a 600 and am trying to figure out which servos are going to be the workhorses for the cyclic. Don't mind paying more if it will save repurchasing multiple times by going with cheaper models.

Which is THE servo for the 600? I think i've narrowed it to these two unless there is another servo out there that blows them both away.

9451 looks great (7kg,0.13sec) , 9351 would be overkill somewhat (13kg, 0.13 sec).
I'm running the Spektrum 821 (5kg, 0.19sec) on cyclic and they are excellent, they are the same servo as the JR DS589 from what I can tell.
In my bigger planes I've moved across to Hitec and have been delighted with the results -perfect centering, fast and strong as well as being cheaper. You might want to look at the HS6635 (5kg/0.18sec) or the HS6965 (7kg,0.10sec), they will save you some money and the performance will be excellent.

i would opt for the 9351's in a larger bird where the speed under load would come into play more, but on the 600, the 9451 seem good enough.

Michael, good to see you over on this side of the forums. The 600 is going to be so much fun.

i just had to order one, i hope i can get it into the air within a month but i need to pay some bills and stuff first. I was looking at the 600N but for a 50 size heli i like the idea of electric. Is anyone using the 9351's in a 600 or is it just worth going for the 9451's and save some money.

I'm leaning in the way of the 9451 since ultimately it's $90 less. Supposedly the 9351s are faster under a load according to Alan Szabo but also remember he is sponsered by Futaba and his job is to make them money. I also don't expect to be putting the demands of Szabo on my 600 anytime soon. Another thing that's steering me towards the 9451s is the fact that along with being cheaper they are half the weight.

Michael,

Get the 9451 servos. The 9451 has more than enough torque for a 600. Alot of people use the 9451 in 90 size machines with no problems. The 9351 are just overkill in torque and slower.

Thanks.

I prefer the well proven 9252s for cyclic, as the metal geared 9451, 9255, 9351, get sloppy after a while. I have been using 9252s in 90 sized helis without issues, and they work great full on 3ding.

however, I will be trying 9351s in the Trex 700 for a direct comparision. I will most likely swap the gears out for the resin gears down the track.
