Nice I would like to compare the Vbar to the new BeastX V3 firmware that I'm running at the moment on the Srimok E. The new V3 is a good upgrade from previous and feels just right. I would like to try the Vbar and just see how that feels and if theres any obvious difference. Let me know how you like it!
I will post pics up shortly

Thanks, Grant. This puts the final touch on my dream build! I can finally rest easy.

You beta testing the BX v3 software? How do you like it? I hope you're running a traditional reciever along with the BX? I would hate to trust just one satelite on something that expensive.

The Bx V3 spftware has been released to sponsored pilot's, and Adam Turner put his new unit on my heli as he had to use it in the 3D Master's at the weekend.
I'm using it with the AR8000 rx, but on display at the master's was an adaptor to be able to run 2 satelite RX's on it . It was only a visual prototype though lol, so hopefully they actually have it running reliably soon.

I read about the adapter cable, basically a y-cable, I believe?

I thought dsmx satleite recievers are supposed to be backwards compatable with dsm2? Can't seem to get it to bind using it on my BX on the 250. Took the dsm2 sat off it so I could have 2 matching sats on the vbar on the Avant.

It does appear to just be a Y lead effectively, but hopefully it works well.
Yes all the DSMX rx's should be 100% backwards compatible.
It could be an issue with your TX though, if you have a dx8 thats only recently been upgraded, then some of them need to be sent back as it makes them not backwards compatible with certain RX's. Thats all I can think of tbh.

Looking forward to seeing those 'secret' development vids of the v4 unit in action, as well Grant!

We weren't supposed to mention anything about the V4, but luckily this forum's only small so we should get away with it.
Adam and I are currently reviewing the newest BeastX, very similar to the V3 but with some fairly major hardware changes. As Dauste said, some of our testing video's will be up soon.

Cool Tom! Get some decent shots of your Avant with all that equipment on it!

Grant, how are you finding flybarless compared to flybarred? And more importantly, nitro compared to electric?

Jonny

It's not intended as a replacement for the V3 at all, just a different version. Not as 3D based but certainly good for sport.
