Default No Lift

I have my Sr that has been sitting for a month. My problem is when I try to lift off nothing happens. The rotor spins fast enough but no lift! Anybody else had this problem and what can I do to fix it? Thanks

In my experience with the SR if your not getting enough lift shorten your servo links by a turn and re level the swash and check your pitch...when you put the collective stick to full the swash comes down...if its not coming down far enough your servo links are to long just my 2 cents...hope this helps

Yes, check the pitch, the mixer arm & links and make sure the main gear can't slide up&down. Also, the paddles might be askew or a main blade facing the wrong way (doh!).

Was the heli flying well and now it isn't?? Did you unplug anything and then plug it back??? There are several things that it could be depending on what yo have done to it.. If you have unpluged the motor, make sure it is now rotating in the proper direction, clockwise from above. If you have rebuilt the head, make sure your mixing arms are not reversed. If you have changed TX's, you need to do a ground up set up. Let me know, and we'll get it flying in no time.......J

If anything has been changed, check main shaft collar to make sure it has gear snug against bottom of frame. Make sure blade grips are on right side up, if they're upside down will give you neg instead of pos and pos instead of neg. The nuts on the bolts that hold the blades in need to be on the bottom of the grip.

The heli was flying and had lift................I haven't changed any parts. I was using my dx6i but then I went back and bound it to the tx that the heli came with and still no lift. Bought another batt and that didn't help.

Is your swashplate separating? I've had that happen before causing no lift and there is a CA glue fix for that in the SR Bible area.

See if any links or dog bones on the head have popped off.... It has happened to me after a hard landing or two.

Ok .. lets get this right ..... Are you saying that it has not been crashed ? .....You have not changed any parts ? ....... It was flying ok with the DX6I ? ...... The only thing you have done is to revert back to the stock Transmitter ?

It was flying, I was praticing some low level hovering. It probably did come down hard a couple of times. I'll look at the swash plate none of the linkage seems to be loose or broken. I was using my dx6i but I rebound the heli to the orignal tx to see if that was the problem. It wasn't!

Even if you haven't done anything severe in the way of crashes to the SR, the swashplate can separate and cause the condition that you are experiencing.

Yes, the swash has come apart! I was able to use a pair of ball joint pliers to get it back together. I saw one person had ca glued his swash plate together. Is this a good thing to do? Thanks

Yes it does and you will have separation again without doing this. I had CA'd mine early on and it has not come apart since.

There is a description of how to do it here: http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=223057

This (Microheli) will out last your SR and well worth the money. I have well over 200 flights on mine with several crashes and still going strong.

P.S. and the last crash was bad enough to bend the 'Jesus' bolt on the main gear!!!
