Default YS 60SR Disassembly

I am going to be sending my YS 60SR off to Magnum for their Centerglide Bushing install. Buzz is asking that I send the case and crank only so I need to disassembly the engine.

I have rebuilt multiple "standard" 2-stroke engines but this is the first YS 2-stroke. The "standard" 2-strokes have taken me all of about 10 minutes to take apart under normal circumstances as I have not had anything frozen up.

Is there anything that I need to consider or take extra care of in taking apart my YS? Any special tools?

Thanks,
Lars

Expect the sleeve to be a tight fit in the crankcase. Might have to heat the block to get the sleeve out. Other than that it's like anything else.

Thanks, the engine is NIB so I should not have that problem unless they come from the factory like that.

New or used expect the sleeve to be a tight fit in the crankcase. Just how YS does it.

Also take care when removing the clips that hold the piston onto the pin. If you're not careful those clips wil launch themselves into the ethersphere never to be seen again.

I took it apart last night... took about 10 minutes. By the way, I did not have to take the piston off of the rod, so I did not have to mess with the pin clips. I was very easily able to just slide the piston/rod assembly off of the crank pin. Easy Piecey...

I did have to be carefull with that tiny little red "washer" that is on carb mounting surface on the case.
