Default Blade 450X Spring Flight

Took this video last weekend. One of my first flights of the season with this Heli, Nothing too intense, just having fun.

[ame]http://youtu.be/uq59seyMw5g[/ame]

It came out pretty well for being filmed on an iPhone.

Had the club flying field to myself this past Saturday evening and was able to put 12 packs through the 450X. I also put 5 packs through my Extreme Flight 48" Extra 300. Lots of fun on a beautiful Saturday night. I shot a little video of one of my big sky smooth 3D flights.

Thanks guys. It was a beautiful evening for sure. But in 6 quick months we'll have a foot of snow on the ground.

Thanks Ed.

Been flying planks for 41 years and in that time most was spent flying pattern and precision aerobatics so the smooth deliberate flying style is permanently etched into my brain. Did a little heli flying in the mid to late 80's in fact my first helicopter, a GMP Cricket, didn't have a gyro. We're pretty spoiled now.

Thanks Bluebell.

It wasn't that long ago that I could barely make a slow figure 8. Stick with it and burn lots of packs and you'll see improvement. I've still got a long way to go yet but I'm having lots of fun on the journey.

By brother recorded my second flight today at the club field. He would have liked to have zoomed in some more but the sun made it hard. It was nice of him to shoot a video. I was testing tail gain settings for at least part of the flight as I replaced the tail servo a couple days ago going back to a ds76t. So far it's working well as it looks like the tail gain can be much higher now. I'm now running a ds76t on the tail of a 450x, copterx250 and 130x.

Default My LynxHeli 450x carbon fiber frame build 2014

I decided after my last hard landing that I needed to replace a couple parts like the staff and swashplate. I started building the frame and it went together real well. All the parts fit like a glove and NO missing screws. All the parts came in a form parts holder. Work of art all those little pieces. And the instructions were easy to follow. And now I was going to post some pictures but dumb old me can't figure it out. But anyway I had an issue with the stock Eflite 440 motor the staff wasn't long enough. So I talked or emailed customer service at LynxHeli and Anna helped me out I used the Lynx 2214 motor in the 450x and boy does it have lots of power, and it fits better then the stock motor, But I did have to go with the Lynx slanted main gear, so if you have any questions about this build please let me know.

Ha! We passed that bay yesterday on the 'visiobulle'. We're on holiday at le Rouret loving this bit of France!

Nos vacances sont presque fini, mais au moins je peux rentre chez moi et faire voler mes hélicoptères !

Bonne vidéo !
