Default It's ALIVE!!!!!!!

Hey guys and gals,

I want to thank all who have helped me and put up with my questions. I had an issue with the clutch making contact with the bell and causing the blades not to rotate freely when then engine wasn't started... We thought it would correct itself and didn't know it was as bad as it was. With alittle engineering and making a spacer to go between the clutch and the bell as well as making the enging mount holes bigger we got it fixed and running very smooth. Attached is a picture of the bird only on the 3rd tank of fuel.

How do ya'll keep track of how many tanks you've put through it? Ya'll write it down somewhere's?

Andrew

Looks Great Andrew! Congrats
What I do is see how many flights I get to a gallon then keep up with the gallons rather than flights. I get around 10 or 11 flights per gallon on my Stinger & it has about 5 gallons through it now. When your having fun you can go through it pretty quick. Its almost as bad as my Fury which gets about 7 flights per galllon.

Looks like you gotta nice place to fly.

Nice job.
Now the fun starts.
I have seen people go out and buy a pilots log book at the local small airport and use that to keep track of flights, and there is room to make notes about each flight.

As for me, I don't have a clue how many flights are on each of my helies, and I really don't want or need to know. For me the fun is in the flying, not bookkeeping.

Well dude and dudette's,

Today was my 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th flights with the Stinger 30 AFTER the governor was put on. I'd have to say... it's nice having a governor not having to worry about being under RPM. However I learned and setup the throttle and pitch curves manually to where I know how to set them up and have them right should the governor fail. It was nice. first tanks took some correction by Steve my "trainer" taking over and keeping it in a safe place. 3rd flight took alittle corrections but mainly to keep it from crossing the main runway they were using to fly planes on.. and the 4th tank I was all on my own... It took 0 correction from my "trainer". I was pround of myself. I was able to keep the heli in a hover with some left to right movement (on purpose) the entire tank. Landed it once not because I was in trouble but because I was praticing soft landings which it only took 1 to get it right. Most of it was getting used to the sticks as well as getting the EXPO set right to make it less sensative in the middle. Once that was corrected it was so fun flying it even though it was just hovering mainly.

It's going to be a blast flying these things I can already tell just from the building and the first few flights. It's been an AWESOME experience. I'll keep ya'll posted on progress.

Andrew
