Default Collective Pitch How Much

Hey guys and gals. Are there any girls on here or should I not say gals.

I have a Fury 55 with the OS 55 running VP Powermaster 30% heli mix.

I am spinning Maverick 620 Flybarless 135g each and 95mm tail blades.

I am sitting at 29.82in mercury average air density approx 3000' altitude

I was wondering what every one was using as far as cyclic pitch the sweet spot seems to be 11.5 to 12 degrees respectively.

I am getting better at tuning but still have a long way to go this is why I am asking. My engine bogs pretty hard at 12 and blades sound like they will stop if more than 12 on say a full climb and full decent and back to full collective. Thank you in advance.

Hi Chapa,

I'm running pretty much the same setup but running a 20% mix. I've found about 12 degrees to be the max I can run. I do get some bogging at full pitch but generally not too bad. Bogging only usually happens if I get too excited on the collective and cyclic at the same time. Do you run a gov or are you just running throttle curves?
Cheers

I myself sir have been running a program mix on my transmitter. Check out the thread i started under futaba electronics. The gov did not work for me well. I started running 80% flat on the throttle in idle up and a 20% throttle input at full cyclic.

Its explained much better on my other thread, check it out give it a shot you'll like it.

What Fbl controller are you using or do you run flybar?

Different blades can make a big difference too. I prefered 600mm FB blades on my Fury 55 for less engine loading and faster cyclic response.

I had a whole lot less bogging with 600mm. I am about to fly today I think I'll try the 600mm again.
