Default trex 600 max headspeed

i have a trex 600 with kde 600xf 530kv and its absolutely awesome, but i cant help wanting to push it even farther. right now im running 2325 headspeed. ive been talking to patrick from kde about running this motor on 14s and he said it should be fine. the question is, how much can the trex 600 handle? 2500? 2600? the other thing i was thinking about was stretching the tail for longer blades. somewhere between 630mm and 660mm.

Well my manual says to run a flat 100% thro curve which is 2700 at zero pitch, so i think you have some leeway

Edit- sorry im waiting in line and not reading everything. Didnt see you mention 630s

the stretch is a separate idea. i would do one or the other. probably would keep headspeed around 2300 if i run a bigger disk

I would change out those SHCS holding the grips on. KDE has some high strength screws to replace them. Aligns screws are soft and have failed guys in the past already. Pushing the HS and size of the blades would really be stressing them out.

That sure sounds like a lot of headspeed for a 600.

I run mine at 2200 rpms and it flies great.

Sounds like you will kill your battery in no time going up that high.

I'm actually surprised it doesnt eat up more. Running 2500 for 4 min and I'm only using 1600mah per batt. Mind you my 3d is pretty gentle...

Just bumped up to 2500 today and didn't feel much of a difference over 2200. I have to burn a few more pack and see if I like it better.
