Default Are 600 blades okay on a 6S Setup? What head speed?

I'm running a 6S setup with a Scorpion HK4025-1100 motor. I'm learning and will mainly be doing hovering, figure 8s, inverted hovering, etc. I'm assuming I'll have greater stability with 600 blades as compared to 550 blades. So which should I use and why?

Also I'm using a CC Ice 100 and would like to use its governor. The head speed calculator gives target speeds of 2028 rpm with 12T, 2196 rpm with 13T and 2366 rpm with 14T. What head speed should I run with 550 and or 600 blades?

I just couldn't help from showing off a photo of my newly built pride and joy! What a step up from my Trex 450.

550 is as big as a I would go.

600 is too much for the motor to push.

Also it would work - the past has shown that 600 size helis are pretty hard on the batteries.
So as long as you mostly do the flight style as explained - yes it is doanble. i would run them still about 2000 rpm head speed.

Forgot to mention - its not so much the motor that suffers. They can often handle it. The Batteries really suffer due to higher continous current and higher peaks. Expect about 70. - 80 Amp continuous and depending on the maneuvers I experinced up to about 160 Amps peaks. So make sure you have a good ESC and at least 45c if not even 65 c batteries

What head speed would be optimal for the 550 blades?

I ran 2400 when I really wanted pop, but for more sport flying I ran 2200 on my 550 Fusion, which was most of the time. That was on a 12s setup that is about 1/2 lb heavier than going with 6s. I was running edge 553 fbl blades and a scorpion 4025.

I tried from 2200 up to 2400. 2400 gave the machine enough power with 550 mm blades. If using 520 mm blades I would even push it up to about 2500 rpm.

I dont know what my 550 rpm is.

I up it until I am happy lol.

When I get used to it I up the speed.

Currently it's 100% flat line.
