Helibug conversion Trex 700G with lynx clutch
What grit of sandpaper did people use to sand down the clutch bell in order for it to work with the lynx clutch. I thought I was going to be in the clear as the bell was used on a nitro previous so it had some wear. However when I started it up the main rotor spins but when I try to stop the head it stalls out the engine.

I just did one yesterday. I used 150 grit wrapped around a popsicle stick to hold the sand paper. I have done others by folding the paper a few times to make it stiff and hold it with by fingers. I spin the bell by chucking a spare pinion in a drill motor. I gauge the sanding by wrapping one layer of electrical tape around the clutch and sand until I can get the clutch into the bell with the tape. Not loose enough to rotate with the tape though.
We are on our own with this so I don't claim or guarantee my method or amount of sanding is correct. If you've read my recent DFC thread, you know I am not particularly happy about this situation.
