Default Servo Re-Centering

Managed to damage the servo main gear on my 120, so replaced the elevator servo assembly. All good so far. Wish I''d thought of the change motor trick but never mind!

Now when I switch on the servo will not centre, tried winding it down when off, trimming it down and turning receiver off, and it resolutely goes back to a 70% position.

Any ideas how to reset? Tx is a HP6DSM, and all seemed well before the servo change.

Did you install a 70/30 servo (factory pre programmed)?

I bought a SR120 Replacment Servo BLH1066B, wasn't aware a 70/30 was available, as the feedback pot is actually on the main board.

Checked the Horizon site and they only list one type, SR120 Replacment Servo BLH1066B, which is what I fitted.

The feedback pot is on the main board, which is why I don't understand why it will not centre. Is there an 'official' way of centering the servo?

The Official Answer from Hrizon

"Here is what you can do to center the servo. First, center all trims on the transmitter. Disconnect the servo linkages to the servo, powered off. Then turn on the transmitter, turn on the helicopter. The servos will go to the their neutral position, reattached the servo linkages. "

It did work, eventually, Now back centred.
