Help in setting up the Talon 90esc on my 550E DFC
I have the newer version of the Talon 90 (last one caught fire in flight) I have never set up a Castle esc and I need some serious help here pilots. I sport fly and usually have headspeed around 2300, is that to low or to high? The 550E is pure stock, ALIGN everything with the Talon 90. Can somebody walk me through this or have a link. Any information or assistance would be greatly appreciated. I want to learn this so I can make changes as my skills improve. Thank you in advance for any assistance.Respectively.

2300 sounds ok, but for sport flying you could go a little lower. I would do the throttle calibration, whether you run governor or endpoints. I could post my talon 90 settings if you want. I run governor mode set at 2450, but you could just put in whatever rpm you want instead.

Here's my settings. You may have a different gear ratio, motor kv, motor poles, or want to use a different rpm. I'm using the 600mx 1220kv motor with 12tooth helical pinion/112 tooth main gear. It's very important to change the current limiting to insensitive, and you may or may not want to use auto bailout.
