Introduction - HWC Performance Engines
At the beginning of May, HWC the manufacturer of the HWC Trex conversions began advertising a new line of performance engines. In talking with the Century gas helicopter team members that I know, not much information is available about them beyond what was posted in the advertisements It is known that they are available in
These appear to be PUH only versions in standard bore/stroke configurations It is said that these use custom programmed EI systems, most likely made by RCExL. They include a modified piston and balanced crankshaft and have an operating RPM range up to 15,000 RPM They also include an HWC air filter and come with a one year parts defect limited warranty These will most likely be sold as sets with the Century Radikal and HWC Conversions but could be installed in other models that require the PUH format motor as well. No photos are available at this time to my knowledge so there are none for me to publish or link to. Stay tuned!

I really have NO information on these beyond what was posted on Century's site as well as several other forums.
TRM has their Turbo Tuned engine and BH Hanson has their 3D Max engines available now if you need something to put in a model.

Required Maintenance
Hi, I've been reading all this tread, because gasser will be my ultimate heli in near future. So I would like to know everything about gasser and so far having good idea through this forum what it takes to get there.
Somehow, I don't see saying about maintenance in terms of like, what we need to do at the end of day or in short term, not long term overhauling engine. Probably most people in here knows what to do, but I don't. So hope someone share the information for wannabe like me, thanks. |

I will be doing a thread on tuning and maintenance, but to be fair the motor doesnt' take a lot of maintenance. Once its broken in, it will run for a very long time with very little attention as long as you keep the fuel clean
