It appears the size of that room is in perfect proportion to his skill level..lol

I still wouldn't be standing anywhere near it though.

No amount of skill will stop a mechanical failure if it's going to happen.

I have done it with small WilToys Heli's, or the small drones, but that's it.

You know you're a real helifreaker when you've seen every one of these videos prior to reading this thread lol....that, or a YouTube junkie!

The same way you set it in the first place, check it with a digital pitch gauge

There's a couple other ways to check for a bent spindle or grip. Look at it, roll it on glass, spin the bolt to see if the other side wiggles, spool on the bench with no mains to check for vibes. Or do what most people do these days and if in doubt, swap it out. The grip you look at it or check vibes with it on the heli then off.

How to you tell which one is off, how far and in which direction by staring at a spinning set of rotors on a heli hovering at eye level so you can fix it??? That's what I want to know

Digital pitch guage? Man you rich guys and your new fan dangled tools..lol
But seriously, I would start with feathering shaft. If I were replacing a blade grip, I would replace both.

I always thought tracking should be checked with load on the blades IE hovering or at least light on the skids.

anyway, now that ive been around a bit longer i wonder whats more unsafe, hovering a larger heli indoors or some of the outragous moves some smackdown pilots do close to themselfs and OTHERs filming/watching.

ive seen big 3d pilots with there budys/crew gingerly filming beside them while hes flying a 700 doing funnels to within a feet or 2 of them.
