GAUI X5 Battery Database
Ive decided to start a X5 battery database. Ive quickly gone through a few posts to grab the most common batteries to start the ball rolling..
Batteries are to be 3800mah or larger. Please advise if battery fits with or without battery fence/frame stiffener. Please keep the thread for database updates, amending errors ...etc. Any suggestions on formatting or additional information that should be collated please let me know.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- X5 Batteries ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fit with no modifications (* = No battery fence fitted) Name............................................. Geffect, this is a great Idea. This is one of those questions that I see coming up over and over. If others like the idea I will stick it.

However, I don't understand how you can fit a Turnigy nano under there. They are 163mm long!!! I can barely fit the regular 30c 4000mah packs and they're only 143mm. I don't use the battery fence.

I can vouch for the Voltz... they fit without strain at all... perfect pack for this bird...in size at least...mine is starting to puff a little after each flight (only have 50 cycles on it so far).

I don't know if anyone uses ProTek liPos. But I have one before: 4200mah 45C 6S for my X5 with battery Fence and it fits just right with a little more room at the nose end of the canopy:
For more details and dimension: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...k-222V-4200mAh Hope it helps. |

OptiPower 4300mAh packs fit with or without fence.
I added them to the first post and made this thread a sticky G, I also did a little formatting to make it easier to read, if you dont like it go ahead and let me know.

Ive added the Turnigy 4000/20c to the list. The Genace 3300/25 is a bit small for the X5, so it wont be added. I couldnt find any details for the Turnigy 4500/25C.. There is a Turnigy Nano-tech 4500/25C listed on Hobbykings website.. Please confirm if its Turnigy (Blue) or the new Turnigy Nano Tech series. Cheers G-effect. |
