Default Logo 690sx problem

Yesterday I ran into a problem with my logo 690sx. Mid flight I landed to adjust parametars on my radio and when I tried to spool up again the motor starterd having issues. I replicated it today but my phone decide not to record sound but I found the vid on the youtube with the same issue.
Scorpion motor issue (0 min 34 sec)

Here's my video but without the sound but you can see the motor stopping.

The odd thing is that when I dont "respool" the motor it's all fine. I'm runing stock scorpion/mikado motor and jive 120hv.

Have another ESC to test?

Sometimes these things can only be solved by process of elimination.

Sounds like the bearings in the motor are shot. Take the motor apart remove the bearings and inspect the bearings and the shaft.

How many flights on this motor ?

Does it after the motor gets hot then, could be failing motor windings. Try a different motor if you can.

Unfortunately I don't have additional motor or esc to test. But I will take the motor apart today to see what's happening.

I believe it's your esc. Since you don't have other esc or motor to test, just send the esc to Kontronik and they will see if it has a problem.

Could be intermittent (fairly low current) shorting in the motor causing the ESC to reset. However, this *should* cause a blinky error code on the ESC's LED. Otherwise, it looks to me like some sort of commutation error. Either way, this could be dangerous territory and I would be extremely careful as it could result in an ESC fire.

I would unplug my servos from the vbar until you resolve the problem because in the event of an ESC fire, full pack voltage will probably be passed to the vbar and fry all your servos. The vbar should survive this if it happens.

It could be something as stupid as poorly spaced magnets in the can causing the ESC to get confused.

Thanks for all your help. I took the motor apart but couldn't find anything wrong (not that I know what to look for). Here are some pics of the disassembled motor.

Stick you finger in the bearings one at a time, put some pressure on it and turn it back and forth. Is it smooth ? or rough, notchy at all ?

Shaft in good condition not worn ?

Any burnt smell in the windings ?

Can you borrow a motor ?

Now I'm really worried. I sent mails to scorpion, mikado and kontronik. Tony from scorpion suggested to send the motor in for rewinding, althoug he doesn't see anything wrong withthe motor from the pictures. Scorpion has some awesome customer service. Mikado told me that they don't have a clue and never seen that kind of problem and I'm still waiting for replay from kontronik.

Only thing left is to see if the esc flashes some kind of warining when this happenes.

Check the motor cables' insulation close to the motor, mine chaffed where it rubs the frame after around 300 flights, they might be shorting.

I've heard of a few of those lower KV motors being smoked. It does not have the same current rating as the higher KV versions do.

If you have access to an analog ohm meter that uses a 9v battery, set it to the highest scale and check between motor case and leads, should be open. Do this with all motor leads disconnected.

Will ask here if you don't mind... My question is about the same motor (4525-370kv).

What are those bullets that come in the 690SX kit for this motor and how to unplug them (they are 6mm, I guess)? I needed to unplug one motor wire today and I couldn't! Is there any trick how to do it?

I bet it is the motor. Probably a bearing.. If you send it in it will take 2 months or so to get it back. Getting ready to send another one of mine in for them to fix.
