I am building the 450Pro following the videos to the letter. I just bought my kit it has the 780 gyro. When building the long links my manual says they should be 20.9mm inside and 43.5mm center to center. In the videos Bob builds the long links to 23mm inside. What should I do? I download another manual and it says 23mm. Maybe the manual has been updated?

I would follow Bob's recommendations.

I am soo glad I found this forum, I am building a T-Rex 450 Pro using Bob's awesome videos. This is my first direct drive tail rotor, and am learning a lot!

Bob i would like to thank you for the video's! Just build my trex 450 pro (first heli ever) with your video's and it was easy . I only need to setup my transmittor and then i am ready to go.

Also found the videos very helpfull.

The newer Align 450 PRO combo uses the GP780 gyro. (Not the GP750 any more like Bob used in his video.)
If you do the flip grip mod there is no need to put the ballink on 8 mm.
This is needed with the older GP750 and not with the GP780 gyro.

Other than the rudder control rod being 6 mm too short, no problems here.
(Should be 336 mm, ALIGN FIX THAT PLEASE.)

And yes, it's a great flying bird!

I am also in the middle of my new build. Was wondering if the recent kits were any different from Bob's vids from last year. Thanks Bob and helidude!

I am unaware of any drastic changes on the Pro from last year to now.

Thanks Bob. I am using your videos and glad to have watched all of them before beginning assembly. It saved time because I went ahead and did the flip grip the first time around

hi everyone
exist a correct position for the tail rod guides on the boom ?
in the pictures i see that everyone place them when prefer
but perhaps is better a solution where the rod flexes less then possible

it's a good idea separate in 3 identical part the rod ...
or is better leave a longer part free near the servo and place the guides more back to have only two identical part of the rod ??

i don't know if i explane well, sorry for the lack of english

My thanks also ..... just one query re the grip-flip.

Is it equally advisable/beneficial to do the flip when using a BeastX contoller rather than the GP780?

Default gyro channel

I'm setting up the tail and in your "Setting up the tail and gyro STOCK" video you turn the gear channel down to 40%. Do you have the gyro plugged into the gear channel? I thought I was suppose to plugged in to Aux2 (that's what the manual shows).

Thanks!

mine uses the GP780 also and I use the 1st hole (close to centre skrew) on the tailservo arm..Now I'm into tail and gyro setup. So...meaning if I do the 'FLIP-THE-GRIP thing....I dont need to adjust the ball links right?......

That is correct. Check centering of tail anyways after completion and push rod and links are not binding
