Question Buy 2?

I just ordered my mSR today! I bought it from Hobbyzone, they told me HH discontinued it (which I already knew) and they had 30 in stock. The price was slashed multiple times and its now down to 54.99$ That's a huge difference from 160 or similar prices I saw on the internet.

Now the question to myself is should I buy 2 of them. Being that its discontinued is one reason, to always have the back up parts handy. But another reason is that it is so cheap and it would be worth it just to have another heli just for parts! I was thinking of buying another battery so that's 10 bucks right there that I will have if I purchase another mSR for 54.99. And I would be naïve to think im not going to break landing gear, main blades, tail motor etc at SOME point in the future. I was looking at some prices and its 16.99 for tail boom assembly, 7.49 for main blades, and even 59.99 for a new 5-n-1 LOL (that's more than the heli itself). So I think it would be a wise investment for the future just to get 2 since they are so damn cheap, then spending as much or more than that in parts down the line. And ill even get extra batteries, canopy, transmitter etc to boot. What do you guys think?

That's a decent price. I got 2 for 48.00 on Ebay. Buying a second isn't a bad idea, just for the board. We have not had any issues with the board. I, my youngest son and grandson have the mSR. Will be giving mine to the oldest son, because I'm working on an mSRX. They are a blast.

As far as parts, they should be available for some time. Use hopmeup. Way cheaper.

Some have complained about their website. I've only dealt with them through Ebay. Just ordered 5 items. Here in 3 days.

Sure, buy two. I did. Let's you alternate between the two when flying so each has ample time to cool down between flights.

I too used to have two mSR's, but selling one now. I stepped up to two mSRX. Good that I did, because one has already mysteriously vanished here in my neighbourhood.

I see your "flying" a t rex 250... love my 120 SR with those 250 skids.

Does Align make any fixed pitched helis or are they all 3D?

Once models get older it can be a good idea to buy extra complete models. The price of the model goes down a lot over time but generally the replacement parts stay the same price.

My T-Rex 250 is meant to replace/coexist with my 200SRX, since I do not fully trust it (especially tail motor and ESC). My T-Rex is in pieces now, awaiting my iKON FBL system with self-leveling to be installed. Shortly explained, I make my own "SAFE" helicopter.

Ive got 2 msr's just rebuilt one like new. Have them both flying wonderfully. I like the thought of having both of them flyable and I rotate them when I am flying to keep them cool. You will be able to get parts for them for along time im sure.
