Can I use 3300 mah on a TDR with an Xera 4530 500 motor?
These are from my Trex 600 which is down right now and I'm doing sport flying at about 1600 rpm head speed.

You can but your flight times would be short and the Tdr might be too light. I get 4.5-5min with 5000 mah and a 4530le Scorpion. 1700 and 1850 hs. I think anything less than 3800 mah is just too light.

I flew 3850 and it felt too light already. It might be ok at very low rpm (1400/1500) and at the same time you recoup flight time.

Holy crap, you had a 4530 in a 600 machine? Wasn't that overkill, both in terms of power and weight?
I have a 4035 in my TDR and it doesn't even break a sweat at 1650, so that would be a better choice for sport flying. But I realize you're trying to reuse what you have on hand. If you try it let us know how it goes. |

Sorry, let me clarify. The 3300 mah are from my Trex600. The 600 is down because I needed to pull the vbar to useon the TDR.
On the TDR, I'm using 5000 mah in the TDR and at 60% linear curve (1,600 head speed) with just sport flying and a 6 minute timer, I'm down to 23.2. V I may give the 3300s a try but will need to convert them to EC5s. |
