Default A new contender!

Looks like Lynx is getting into the heli business! Perhaps we will finally get a 250 sized heli that can act like a 450 sized heli... I, for one, will be monitoring quite closely!

Oxy 3 is the first helicopter in the Oxy Helicopter range. It is a 250 mm blade electric heli, with belt driven tail rotor, suitable for all micro servos. It is designed to handle high rpms (up to 4500), and in the future can grow with a stretch kit up to 280mm blades. Special upgrades will be available to run 3 or 4 blade heads, and a full fuselage to satisfy the requirements of all users. Lynx will be releasing more details soon!

While the canopy reminds me of a Dutch clog, this looks interesting!! Looking forward to hearing more about this new Oxy line in the future.

I think it will look much better with a colour scheme, not just a block of colour like it is in the picture

It does look very interesting!

I will be watching for threads about it here on HF!

To my eyes this looks like a flying tank. Everything looks oversized in relation to the actual hell itself (like the tail boom diameter). Could be the angle of the photo.

Who knows how it will fly? Maybe good, maybe not.

That's the important question, of course.

Hey, it looks like there are straps (that say "Lynx") at the aft, bottom end of the canopies. Strap-on canopies?

So if it's a bad design do we call it an Oxy-moron?

That was the first association that came to my mind when I saw the Oxy name!

It looks like their marketing peeps might want to reconsider their branding strategy...

I would trade my Blade 300 for the despite the canopy. Lynx likes to make different profile canopies so other options will probably be available.

That was the thought that crossed my mind today: I wonder if I Lynx is going to come out with a better-looking aftermarket replacement canopy for their own heli?

That landing gear looks pretty cheap 'n' ugly too...
