Default Gusty Wind

I think I'm having a Brain Fart

Flying around today in some gusty wind and the bird was really changing attitude. Besides giving it more head speed (I think that helps?), what else can I do to have the SK720 "resist" the impact of the wind?

=] a 500 can play the wind quite well, firstly can we make sure the gyro gain is high enough, its one of those where if the heli is setup for agility in 3D mode the gyro is using these settings also and performs well in turbulent conditions, headspeed, FBL blades are other factors to consider.

Living in Spokane also and looking at the same windy conditions. It is pretty gnarly out there. But I have flown my flybarred 450 in much worse, it is definitely an eye opener when the wind gusts knock your heli straight down or up a full 20 ft in an instant though. This wind has kept me from maidening my new build now for a full 3 days.
If you're flying in this stuff I am not too sure anything is going to fully work. My hat is off to you!!!!!!

Randy, we need to get you up a size (or 2 ). It wasn't bad, but i still wanted to see if I could tweak a gain/setting to have the SK resist it more.

I was also flying my 600 which it still pushed around some.

Thanks Georgi - Because I don't smack the heli around, I forget about the similarity between 3d and wind. I do have good blades and will tweak the gyro settings (I figured there would be something else).

I have half a 600, does this count?

I did test hover my new system today. Mixed results but no crashes. Talk about a hot locked in tail! Wow.
