All setup - Now ESC will not intialize

I'm using a known ESC and electronics with the 3sx now. On power up the ESC is not finding zero throttle. I'm using SAT's at this point since I don't have a 7+ channel full RX and would like to have both tail gyro gain and CR.

I had my DSMX sats setup at 22ms frame rate. Found info that said this needs to be 11 ms, so I changed it. No difference.

Moved Throttle endpoints to their max +- 150. No difference.

Used moved the ESC power to a spare RX. Changed models. Powered up and the ESC worked fine. Moved the ESC cable back to the 3sx, changed models and no go.

I have a solid 5.5 v and 4 amp switched becu. I realize this is a potential problem, but not at initialization I would think.

Any thoughts?

you need to make sure you are getting a throttle signal out of the port on the 3sx. You could take a servo and plug it in to that port. If you can move the servo with your Throttle stick, the problem in with your ESC. If you can't move the servo, check to make sure you have the channel assignments right in the RF tab.
