And aligns new 600 feathering shaft can be run up to 3000+ by the way.
Where is that documented? Or, is that the rumor mill talking?
I doubt Align (or any manufacture) is going to rate a key part (like the feathering shaft) based on an RPM that would depend on so many related factors.
Are the Trex 600 "spindle screws" rated at 3000 RPM?
How about the main grip trust bearings?
What about the main blades?

Help me out here. You must have inside information that the rest of us don't. Please, share it.

Is any of this documented?

Check the Lynx site for their Trex 700 Spindle screws:

No where on the site does it give you an RPM rating.

Made with 12.9 Class Steel and designed to replace the STD Align 700 spindle shaft screw. This replacement screw has 3 times the load resistance of the STD one, giving you the maximum amount of strength to match the RPM needs of new Nitro engines and electrical motors.

Also, the notion that running a 550 at 2800 puts the same stress on the spindle bolts as running a 600 at that speed is insane. Thats roughly 10% more mass being slung around up there

Yes the stresses are definitely much more on a 600, but still 2850 is really high for BOTH helis.

Atomic Skull has setup his heli with a high headspeed as well.

I didn't say they were RATED TO 3000+

All I said was that it can be done up to around 3000. Would I expect you to do it? No. Everyone has their own setup.

I still wouldn't trust the blades or the grips at that speed.

No I have not, I run my Trex 550 at 2200 and My Xtreme 600 at 2000. Note that the Xtreme 600 grips are MUCH beefier than what you'd find on an Align head, they're basically like 700 class grips (they can take 14mm wide blades even) and I still wouldn't run them at 3000rpm.

There is a Youtube video of someone running an Xtreme 600 at 2900rpm. It shows how overbuilt the rotor head is but it's still stupid and dangerous.

RJX600E 12S 2900 rpm by ARM SLK (2 min 10 sec)

I fly my trex 600 at 2300 RPM most of the time. I have a stock Pro setup (stock tail ratio, 95mm tail blades) and this is pretty much the minimum RPM to 95% not have tail issues. Have switch setup for 2000, 2150, 2300. 2000 is the most interesting. The heli is more... artistic at 2000.
But at 2300 more shit is happening. The platform is more visually and audibly stunning.
If a finely tuned mastery of the forces is the thing that gets you flying, the trex 600 is not for you (in stock form).
If flying helis is a video game and you need lots of sensory input, 2000 RPM is inferior.

Align has essentially appealed to the rock start and has abandon the engineers.
