Blast from the past!
I have to tell you all....
I was going through OLD videos and enjoying a lot of memories. Can I just say that the ol'days when I use to film flying and stand right next to some of the best pilots in the world, was an awesome thing for me. I chatted a bit with Alan Szabo at the Las Vegas fun fly last month and I honestly have to say, it's good to see some people still enjoying the hobby. I want to say....He influenced the hobby back then like no other! Many may not even get it now but it was a big deal 10 years ago. To this day, I personally love to watch him fly! And always will! In review, I have to say, this back in the day was one of the coolest videos I ever filmed. If you have never stood next to a top pilot with a camera and FELT the main rotor blast.... Well..... Hey Bob...
Did you get to speak to Alan Szabo Sr at all? I chatted with him at the LVFF in March 2015...and he takes no credit for what Alan Jr does with heli's... "I taught him how to fly airplanes...that nonsense with helicopters is all on him...I had nothing to do with that insanity" |

do you/did you still fly and just stopped filming?
or stopped altogether and took a break?

Yeah, thanks for the videos. When I started a few years back, it was mostly still flybar and your videos were invaluable in setup, mixing and just overall initial heli knowledge. Kudos.
