Confirmed!
Pro Avant pilot Justin Barry will be at this event! Justin will be hosting a noontime demo flight and will be on hand for most of the week end tearing it up with his Avant.
Now if we could just get him to bring the Avant girls with him, we would be all set |

The question came up about available charging stations at the field. With the popularity growth in electrics, ARCC will supply at least one portable generator for this event. The outlets will most likely be under the shade in the pit area and will be limited. We will do our best to provide enough power for everyone but plan on being nice to the generators so that everyone can charge. In other words, we most likely won't be able to support 50 chargers running at 30 amps each
Also, today is the last day to pre register so get your information in ASAP! |

Here are the contest rules for those that want to practice this week.
These are NOT set in stone so any and all suggestions will be welcomed. CONTEST RULES: Top 3 in Novice, Sportsman and Expert will receive an award. Top 1 in Best Scale Flight and Scale Pilots Favorite will received an award Top 3 in Drag Races will receive an award The scores from each event will be added to determine final class placement. The winner of an event with 10 entries will receive 100 points, second 81, third 64, and so on to 10th receiving 1 point. Highest place is number of pilots squared, etc. (The more pilots in an event the higher your score for that event) If you don't fly an event you get zero points for that event. If you try you will get points even if you are last place. Five classes: Novice (those who are learning to hover and maybe some forward flight) Sportsman Expert Scale Drag Races Pilots can fly Novice or Sportsman, but not both. Sportsman pilots can enter Expert. Scale open to any scale helicopter Drag races open to anybody NOVICE Bottle knock: Bottles only - Timed event starting and stopping on a pad. Shortest time wins. Pad Hop: "Touch" each pad and return to start. Shortest time wins. Timed flight: Must fly at least one circuit to the left and right at least 20 feet each way. SPORTSMAN Bottle Knock: You have 3 minutes to knock as many balls off as you can. 2 rounds each (Highest point round kept) Pad Hop: You have 3 minutes to touch as many pads as you can: Order of pads is clockwise or counterclockwise then reverse order each time all pads are touched. 2 rounds each (Highest point round kept) Freestyle flight 3 min flight (Music optional) – Points awarded by judges. Heli Limbo Timed event. Pass under top of poles 3 times. Must enter and exit same direction each time. 2 rounds (lowest time is kept) EXPERT Auto Contest: Two parts: Each part scored as a separate event 1. Timed auto – Climb for 20 sec and longest time to ground wins. (2 rounds – longest time kept) 2. Spot Auto: Nose on spot for points - (Three tries, add points for score) Inverted Heli Limbo Timed event. Pass under top of poles 5 times inverted.
