the bind plug is used to unlock a fixed id on a receiver... i'm not familiar with the bits and pieces you're using.... but the same general start up procedure applies for most.....
-switch on your remote
-quickly plug in your battery to receiver
most remotes give you roughly 10 seconds after you switch on to plug in your battery to receiver.

The RX802 is for a Devo transmitter, not the 2801.

But isn't that if I add the mtc-01 aka magic cube to the back of my 2801 pc link port, I can bind any devo rx? Even I have 2801?

I heard people works on their dx7 with mtc-01... That's why I bought it... Seems like I have wasted 20+40 usd...

you're right.... with the magic cube you should be able to bind a 2801 with a devo receiver. What actually happens when you plug in the receiver?

what i did was i first turn on the 2801 and magic cube. I power rx802 up by connecting esc to throttle channel on rx802. i get quicker flashing red light if i do not have blind plug on. if i have blind plug on i have a slower flashing red light.

I was told that i will have a solid red light when the cube sucessfully bind with rx802. but after like 5 mins i still dont have the solid red light...

i have tired poking the switch button on rx802 with or without blind plug and it seemed that nuttin happen..

any idea?
If rx-2801 is still on sale i would have got it... saw some on ebay and they were asking like 80 usd which is a total rip off... so i thought this combination would be better since it is new technology

the quicker flashing red light is the rx searching for a signal... maybe the mtc needs to power on before your remote? some walkera stuff can need a specific sequence...

tried the reversed process - start 2801 and magic cube first and then rx802.. no luck

i have read the manual again and found that after self check initialisation (the green light turns off), the magic cube will have a flashing blue light.

but mine stays solid blue. Would that suggest my magic cube is faulty one?
