Default Slightly Bent Main Shaft

I have a VNR3D . The shaft is bent very slightly.I usually use new shafts.But was wondering if theres a way to straighten one out thats just very slightly bent. Thanks fellas for any ideas. Dennis

you can, but it's a bunch of work. ya need a piece of glass, and pliers.

step 1)
roll the shaft on the glass to find the bend.
step 2)
now roll it again so the bend is just past the edge of the glass.
step 3)
grab the shaft with a set of pliers, and use a second pair to do the reverse bend to the shaft.
step 4)
start over with step 1 till it's straight.

it can be done, but with a micro you'll spend more time, and the heli is too light to get rid of all the shake. i've done it on a b400 (just throw out the heli, and get a trex), and my trex. they both have enough weight that a very tiny bit of a bend isn't that critical. plus i don't fly 3D.

It's usually easier to straighten a bent shaft than a very slightly bent shaft!
